They usually faint.
I tried to establish in the comic world that normally deaths don’t occur in a battle. But due to me playing a nuzlocke every pokemon Nina had will die if they faint. (Of course in some instances the pokemon Nina knocks out can die too….)

That’s a valid interpretation of events and good for noticing it!
By all means I did not mean to make Nina look very sympathetic or unsympathetic in that particular update. Also I tried to show that Nina is aware that the event was partially her fault (hence she was being somewhat defensive in her yelling at the hiker).
Also I didn’t say anywhere in the run that Nina is gonna be indifferent when she kills another trainer’s Pokemon by accident…
